Privacy Policy for the synchronization of Lexdigo with Google Calendars
Date: September 18, 2023
Introduction
“lexdigo.com” (the application) is a web software hosted on lexdigo.com servers and uses Application Programming Interface (API) services. You can learn more about the application at www.lexdigo.com
How do we access your Google Calendar information?
Lexdigo.com obtains authorized client credentials to access your Google Calendar information from our Lexdigo Google Calendar Connector web app.
Lexdigo.com keeps this information secret and confidential.
To access Google Calendar API services, the application uses the following “scope” via this URL:
Limited Use Policy
Lexdigo’s use of information received from Google APIs, as well as Lexdigo’s transfer of this information to any other application, adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What information do we require and how do we use it?
Lexdigo will connect to your Google Calendar on your behalf and synchronize events created in Google Calendar so they are displayed in the Lexdigo application calendar, and it will create events in Google Calendar that are created from the program.
The application requires
- Access to your Google Calendar
â—‹ The application will sync events from your Google Calendar into the application calendar. Events created in the lexdigo.com calendar can also be read, created, modified, and deleted.
â—‹ The application creates these events with a default notification.
â—‹ To do all this, the application stores the created calendar ID, the event IDs created under that calendar, and the titles, description, color, start date, and end date.
How do we store your information?
Information is synchronized via a secure SSL connection. A token is stored to avoid having to perform authentication for every connection. Events created in the primary Google Calendar are synchronized and a copy is created in the app. The authorization/renewal token will be revoked immediately if the user removes their Google account from the application; furthermore, the option to delete or keep all imported events will be offered, while events will remain in your Google account.
The only Google Account data stored in our databases are:
- Renewal and authentication token to connect to the Google API
- Title, description, color, start date, end date, and event ID.
Please note that event and token information is stored in your law firm management application database, which is individual for each client.
How do we handle your information?
Databases are independent for each client. Information is not transferred to others. The application will not use your Google information for advertisements of any kind. The application does not allow humans to read your information.
How can you manage your information?
The application allows reading, adding, removing, or modifying events in your Google Calendar through the calendar integrated into the Lexdigo law firm management application.
Revoke access
If you decide to revoke the application’s access to your Google Account, you can do so from your profile at lexdigo.com or by using the “Third Party Access” page of your Google Account. To go there, you can click on this link:
https://security.Google.com/settings/security/permissions
There, you can manage the permissions granted to third-party applications that access your Google Account based on the access you have allowed in the past.
Please note that if you revoke access from Google, you will not be able to automatically delete previously synchronized events in your Lexdigo.com application calendar (you can perform the deletion manually); therefore, we recommend revoking access from the Lexdigo application itself to avoid having to manually delete synchronized events within the application.
